Terms of Use
These terms govern the mailtronx.com website and the files it serves. The MailtronX software itself is governed by its licence, not by these terms. Last updated 2026-10-01.
1. Who we are
This site is operated by [pending: entity name] (“we”, “the project”). Contact: [pending: contact mailbox]. The full legal notice is on the Legal notice page.
2. Using the site
By using this site you accept these terms. You may read the pages, download the releases and use the installer to install and update MailtronX appliances. You may not: scrape or mirror the site at volume; interfere with its operation or its edge network; download the release feed in bulk other than to install or update appliances; frame the site or present its content as your own; or use the site in a way that breaks the law. The MailtronX name and logo are covered by the Trademark policy.
3. The software
MailtronX is free software under the GNU Affero General Public License, version 3 or later. The licence sets out your rights to use, study, modify and redistribute it, and it comes without warranty, as its sections 15 and 16 state. Nothing on this site adds a warranty, a support commitment or a service level. Where the site describes a feature, it describes the current release; releases change, and the documentation inside your appliance is the authority for the version you run.
4. No warranty
The site, its content and every download are provided “as is” and “as available”. We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted or error-free, that any release is free of defects, or that MailtronX will block all spam, viruses, phishing or other threats, that no legitimate message will be delayed or refused, or that no message will be lost. Mail filtering is a matter of scores and thresholds that you configure; its outcome depends on your configuration, your traffic and third-party lists we do not control.
5. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from the use of, or the inability to use, this site or the software, including lost mail, lost data, lost business, or indirect or consequential loss, however caused. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law, such as liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
6. Third parties
The site links to third-party sites and the software contacts third-party services (public DNS resolvers, blocklist operators, a deliverability tester) under those parties' own terms. We are not responsible for them.
7. Changes
We may change these terms by posting the new version here with a new date. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept it.
8. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of [pending: governing law and venue], and the courts there have exclusive jurisdiction, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protection where you live.
